What Is Faith? What Does God Know That You Know?

What Is Faith

God knows everything, so obviously God knows everything that you know, and He know's everything that you don't know.

But what do you know that God knows that you know?

If you can answer this question, then you'll know how to measure your own faith in the word of God.

You'll know when your faith is working and how to get it to work in your favor.

The Bible says faith is the substance of things hoped for but the evidence is not seen. Hebrews 11.1

So scientific theories can't apply because they're based off what you can prove using the five physical senses.

The Bible also says that without faith it's impossible to please God. Hebrews 11.6

This makes since because you can't always use your five physical senses to interact with God.

But it goes a lot deeper than that.

God wants you to have faith in everything that He says.

Whether you realize it or not you're always building faith in something.

You set up faith in whatever you whatever you want by spending time thinking, saying, and doing it.

And whatever you think say or do the most is what you'll have the most faith in.

And like-wise there are a lot of words being said that contradict God's word that'll cause you to have fear, doubt, and unbelief if you think, say or do them.

Jesus said if your eye be single your whole body will be full of light. Matthew 6:22

Meaning if you stay focused on the word of God you'll attain enormous faith.

Next He says if your eye be evil your whole body will be full of darkness. Matthew 6:23

Meaning if you focus on anything other than the word of God you'll develop fear, doubt, and unbelief.

Then He said if that is the case how great is that darkness.

Or how great is your fear, doubt, and unbelief and lack of faith in the word of God.

You choose your own reality by deciding what to build faith in and what not to build faith in.

But choose God's reality because His reality supersedes all other realities.

You can make God's reality your reality by meditating, confessing and doing His word.

Jesus said if you have faith as a mustard seed you can say to a mountain be thou removed from this place and nothing shall be impossible to you. Matthew 17:20

But of course this is not possible in the current reality that you choose to accept.

Jesus also said the first and great commandment is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.

You simply can't do this by just going to church once a week.

You also need to spend time getting the word of God on a daily basis.

But the problem is, you have to cut back on whatever it is preventing you from getting the word of God and thereby keeping you from gaining more faith.
